Markers page

The Markers page allows you to customize the Markers.

Marker List list box

List of markers to be highlighted. Click the check boxes to enable or disable the items.

Enable Selected Items check box

Enables or Disables the selected items in the list.

Add button

Click this button to add a new item to the list.

Delete button

Click this button to delete the selected item from the list.

Up button

Move the selected item up on the list.

Down button

Move the selected item down on the list.

Select All button

Select the entire list.

Color drop-down list box

Specifies the color for the selected items in the list.

Whole Word Only check box

Highlight the selected string only if the whole word is the string.

Match Case check box

Highlight the selected word only if the case matches.

Regular Expression check box

Highlight the selected string using a regular expression.

Title check box

Enables the specified title.

Title text box

Allows you to specify a name for the new Marker.

Prompt to remove one marker from the list check box

When this check box is checked, EmEditor displays a prompt message box for confirmation when a user selects the Delete command from the right-click menu on the Marker toolbar.

Show or hide the markers toolbar automatically check box

When this check box is checked, EmEditor automatically hides the Markers toolbar when there is no button on the toolbar, and displays the toolbar when a user defines a marker.

Disable markers automatically when the Markers toolbar is hidden check box

When this check box is checked, EmEditor automatically disables all the markers when the Markers toolbar is hidden.

Count matches when a document is opened check box

When this check box is checked, EmEditor automatically counts matches of all markers when a document is opened.

Enable Auto Marker check box

Enables the Auto Marker.

Retrieve Word at Cursor check box

Retrieves the word at the cursor position when the Auto Marker is enabled.

Whole Word Only check box

Highlight the selected string only if the whole word is the string when the Auto Marker is enabled.

Match Case check box

Highlight the selected word only if the case matches when the Auto Marker is enabled.

Alphabets and Numbers Only check box

Highlights the selected word only if the word contains only alphabets and numbers when the Auto Marker is enabled.

Reset button

Reset the settings to default.
